Marathon Relay
Marathon Relay Information
- The Williams Route 66 Marathon Relay is run on a USATF certified course.
- The Williams Route 66 Marathon is electronically timed using the ChroTrack timing system.
- The marathon relay consists of 5 legs.
- Each team must have between 3 and 5 members.
- Team members running more than one leg must run consecutive legs.
- Participants in the marathon or half marathon may run the first leg or first two legs of the relay and continue with their individual race. Participants running in both the relay and an individual race must register and pay for both the relay and the individual race and should switch their race number back to the individual race after they complete their relay leg.
- Participants in the marathon relay must be at least 12 years old on race day.
- Strollers are not allowed in the relay.
- Animals other than seeing eye dogs are not allowed on the course.
- Walkers are welcome in all Williams Route 66 Marathon races.
Marathon Relay Shuttle Information
Shuttle buses will be provided from Veterans Park to the relay exchanges zones. You must be wearing a marathon relay race number to board the bus. Spectators are not allowed on the marathon relay shuttle buses. Shuttle service is only available between Veteran’s Park and the designated relay exchange point. You cannot ride the shuttle from one exchange point to another without going back to Veteran’s Park.
The Marathon Relay shuttle buses will leave approximately every 20 minutes as needed. You should arrive at the Veteran’s Park shuttle stop at least one hour before you expect to start running your leg of the relay. You are responsible for getting to the exchange zone on time. The timing of the relay shuttle service is not guaranteed.

Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup will be held at the Williams Route 66 Marathon Health, Fitness and Sustainability Expo.
Friday November 16, 2012- 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday November 17, 2012- 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Starting Times and Locations
The 5K and Fun Run will be run on Saturday November 17, 2012
The 5K and Fun Run start and finish at Veteran's Park at 19th and Boulder.
The 5K Run and Walk starts at 8:00 a.m.
The Fun Run and Walk starts at 9:00a.m.
The Mascot Dash starts at 9:30 a.m.
The Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay will be run on Sunday November 18, 2012
The Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay start at 7th and Main and finish at Veteran's Park.
All Sunday races start at 8:00 a.m.

Course Time Limit
- The course will remain closed to traffic for 6 1/2 hours.
- The electronic timing system will remain open for 7 1/2 hours.
- Everyone finishing in 7 1/2 hours will receive an official finishing time.
- We do not guarantee that the Gatorade or Medical Aid Stations will be open longer than the 15 minute per mile pace.
Marathon Relay Awards and Divisions
Awards will be presented to all relay team members in the following relay divisions.
All relay awards are based on electronic time.
Open
Male, Female, Mixed (At least 2-Female)
Teams with less than one female participant must compete in the male division.
Masters
All Participants 40 and over.
Male, Female, Mixed (At least 2-Female)
Teams with less than one female participant must compete in the male disivion.
Corporate
Male, Female, Mixed (At least 2-Female)
Masters Male, Masters Female, Masters Mixed (At least 2-Female)
Teams with less than one female participant must compete in the male disivion.

Registration Policies
Please read carefully before registering for any event.
- The Williams Route 66 Marathon does not offer refunds for any reason.
- The Williams Route 66 Marathon does not defer registrations to future years for any reason.
- Registrations can not be transferred to other participants.
- Anyone caught participating with another participants number will be removed from the course and disqualified.
- Participants can change races for $10 plus the increase in registration fees if changing to a more expensive race.
- All participants must pickup their packets at the Williams Route 66 Marathon Health, Fitness and Sustainability Expo.
- Race day packet pickup is not available.
- Packets cannot be mailed to participants.
- Participants unable to participate or get to packet pickup can pick up their packet or have someone else pick up their packet for them. Their representative must show a signed copy of the participant's registration confirmation to pick up the packet.
