Oklahoma standard medal

The Oklahoma Standard is Back!

The Williams Route 66 Marathon is excited to announce the return of the Oklahoma Standard Challenge for 2021! We’re teaming up with the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon and the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum to demonstrate the resiliency of Oklahomans.

The Oklahoma Standard Challenge is a joint effort between the Williams Route 66 Marathon and the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. To participate, run the marathon or half marathon in Oklahoma City on October 3 and then the marathon or half marathon here in Tulsa on November 21. You’ll receive a special Oklahoma Standard Challenge medal when you finish the Challenge at the Route 66 Marathon!

Over the next three years, each medal will highlight one of the three tenants of the Oklahoma Standard – Service, Honor, and Kindness. You will not want to miss out on these special collector edition medals! This year, we focus on Service.  On April 19, 1995, Oklahomans united in the face of the devastating Oklahoma City bombing, showing up to serve their community in any way they could. That spirit of generosity still lives in Oklahomans today, and we call it the Oklahoma Standard. You can learn more at OklahomaStandard.com.

Ready to register for the Williams Route 66 Marathon and join the Challenge? Register for the Route 66 Marathon here! You do not need to register separately to participate in the Oklahoma Standard Challenge, but you will need to register for the OKC Memorial Marathon separately via their website.

If we have registered to run both marathons already, can we still register for the Oklahoma Standards medal?

If you’ve already registered for both, you’re in!
