2021 Finisher Medal Update

How To Get Your 2021 Route 66 Marathon Finisher Medal

Our 2021 finisher medals are finally here and we can’t wait for you to see them! We know you’re just as anxious as we have been to have that shiny medal around your neck. Here’s how to get your 2021 Route 66 Finisher Medal (and get a discount on 2022 registration at the same time!).

Tulsa Area Participants (Within 30 miles of Tulsa)

Our 26.2-mile block party isn’t quite done yet! Pick up your finisher medal at our Medal Pickup Party at Welltown Brewing (114 W Archer St, Tulsa, OK 74103) on Thursday, December 16th from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. All ages are welcome to attend and each person 21 years of age and older will receive one free beer!

In addition to your medal, you’ll also be able to pick up your Center of the Universe Detour Coins and Double coins for those who completed these challenges. Extra participant swag, including 5k, Marathon, Half Marathon, and Volunteer premiums, will also be available for size exchanges at the party.

As if getting your shiny new medal isn’t enough, you’ll also have the opportunity to register to rock the Route for less! Discounted registration will be available at the party on 12/16 only, so don’t miss it!

What if I can’t make it to the party?

If you can’t make it to the Medal Pickup Party, don’t worry! You’ll be able to pick up your medal at any of our official training partner Fleet Feet Tulsa’s stores, Tulsa Runner, or Runners World Tulsa through December 23. Note: Gear exchange will only be available at the Medal Pickup Party at Welltown Brewing.

What if I need someone else to pick up my medal?

No problem. Another person can pick up your medal. Simply provide your proxy with your bib number and we will make a note of the name of the individual picking up your medal.

Participants Outside the Tulsa Area (More Than 30 Miles From Tulsa)

If you’re outside the Tulsa area, you’ll receive your finisher medal and additional finisher items (coins, etc) via mail. We’ll mail your package to the address you provided at the time of registration, so all you have to do is sit back and wait for your medal to arrive! We’ll begin shipping out medals as soon as possible. Mail is slow this time of year, so please be patient.

I live in Tulsa, can I just pay to have my medal mailed to me?

No. As a volunteer-run nonprofit organization, the Williams Route 66 Marathon lacks the resources available to mail out medals to all participants in a timely manner.

What if I live outside of the 30-mile radius but still want to come to the Medal Pickup Party?

We’d love to have you! Please come to the party – no RSVP required. Your medal will be there waiting for you!

When will the medals be mailed? Our friends have received confirmation that theirs are on the way but we have received nothing. It is for Nelin Kimery, bib #10850.

Will the dual race medal, for running okc, come in the mail also?

No, those were at the finish line party. We did have that information in the participant guide.

When will the 5k medals be sent out? I already received my marathon medal before Christmas (although it was the wrong one), but I’m still waiting on mine and my daughter’s 5k medals.

I am still waiting on my half marathon medal. I’d love an update but haven’t had any luck emailing mailto:info@route66marathon.com. It was mailed to the wrong address initially and then never reshipped.

Lol I just realized I never had a chance to get mine.
Too bad, it was a fun 10th run!
