SAFETY AND SECURITY

The Williams Route 66 Marathon team makes the safety of every runner and spectator a priority

• We have the direct involvement of the Tulsa Police Department, Department of Homeland Security, Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and the Transportation Security Administration (yes, that TSA) before and during our events. 
• We are following industry-standard best practices for safety (many marathons have Ruck divisions, and we’ve had ruckers on our course in past years, too)
• All Rucks will be checked before they are allowed onto the course
• We follow, and will continue to promote the safety-first program of “See Something? Say Something!”
