Williams employee leads in fundraising for the United Way
Amy, a Williams employee, has been leading the pack in fundraising for the Run United! program, which aligns with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma Corporate Challenge at the Williams Route 66 Marathon. Using the email tools provided on Active.com, Amy has made a number of personalized, heart-felt requests to her friends and family.
“My parents and children have always been my biggest supporters of anything I endeavor,” says Amy. “But my co-workers at Williams have really been phenomenal in their generosity. I have been overwhelmed!”
With a fundraising goal of $1,000, Amy is almost there and most recently reached $800, all benefiting the Tulsa Area United Way. Amy is training for the Williams Route 66 Marathon through Fleet Feet Tulsa, the marathon’s exclusive running retail partner and training program. With the support of their coaches, Amy will participate in the half marathon, as well as a leg of the marathon relay.
Fundraising for the Tulsa Area United Way continues until Nov. 30 through the Run United! program and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma Corporate Challenge at the Williams Route 66 Marathon.
