Nutritional tip: Race day food
Identify NOW what you plan to run with on race day. You may already know what shorts you’ll wear but do you know what food/snack items you plan to run with for the Williams Route 66 Marathon or Half Marathon? Make sure you arrive to the start line with your favorite carb gel, or carb chew, or bite-size candy, or electrolyte jelly beans, etc. that you have trained with. One of the golden rules includes that a runner should avoid eating something new on race day. Make sure you purchase those items before race weekend and arrive prepared.
