Downtown Tulsa reveals new park

Guthrie Green park adds culture and showcases artists

Downtown Tulsa continues to see progress as new beautification projects enhance the Brady Arts District, an area that is a familiar element to the Williams Route 66 Marathon presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma. With its crisp and modern appearance, the Guthrie Green adds a fresh effect to the area and emphasizes a cultural atmosphere.

“Our race events continue to embrace the city’s most interesting and scenic districts,” said Chris Lieberman, executive director of the Williams Route 66 Marathon. “The Brady District is one of these special areas, so it’s encouraging to see such attractive enhancements like the Guthrie Green.”

The grand opening of the new Guthrie Green park, will be held Sept. 7-9 and will include a lineup of music artists, puppet theater, Open Eye Figure Theatre and Fab Lab: Tulsa Children’s Museum. Learn more about the grand opening in Tulsa World.
