As childhood obesity becomes a growing concern in Oklahoma and the nation, St. John Health System is doing something to recognize and reward kids who are enacting healthy lifestyle choices by training for and participating in the Williams Route 66 Marathon.
The St. John Kids Club will once again celebrate young runners by providing medals to every child 17 and under who participate in any of the Route 66 Marathon races on Saturday, Nov. 19 and Sunday, Nov. 20.
Staff and volunteers from the St. John Kids Club will be onsite at the finish line on Saturday and Sunday to hand out specially designed medals to all participants aged 17 and under who complete any of the weekend races. The kids can receive their medal at the St. John tent near the information tent in Veterans Park.
