Quarter Marathon set for Oct. 15; prices increase Sept. 1

To avoid the hot summer months, the third annual Williams Route 66 Quarter Marathon is moving to Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, and you can save $5 off the price of registration if you sign up before Sept. 1.

Kick off your fall race season and get a preview of the Williams Route 66 Marathon course in downtown Tulsa. The Oct. 15 events include the official Quarter Marathon, a 5K race and a one-mile fun run/walk.  Additionally, participants can run The Double – which includes both the Quarter Marathon and the 5K in the same morning.  The course begins in the Blue Dome District and is run on a portion of the Williams Route 66 Marathon course. Live bands and a post-race party make this an unforgettable event.

Each participant receives a goodie bag and an official T-shirt, and Quarter Marathon finishers will receive a finisher’s medal. Participants finishing The Double will also receive a technical finisher shirt.

Register for this year’s race at www.quartermarathon.com, and save $5 by registering by midnight on August 31.
