The 2011 Williams Route 66 Marathon weekend, slated for Nov. 19-20, 2011, now includes a Mascot Mile. Area mascots have the opportunity to compete for bragging rights as Tulsa’s fastest character.
Mascot Mile, set for Saturday, Nov. 19, is a one-mile fun run open to all Tulsa-area mascots. Sports, retail, restaurant and other mascots are all welcome to run this mile in downtown Tulsa. The event, which is free for local characters, will take place alongside the Williams Route 66 Marathon 5K and the original one-mile fun run. The Williams Route 66 Marathon, half marathon and marathon relay are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 20.
