Ustream to host live marathon video feeds
Spectators from around the world will be able to view the 2010 Williams Route 66 Marathon finish line live on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010. The streaming website www.ustream.tv will host two channels for the Williams Route 66 Marathon, including one of the finish line and one with raw footage of various race aspects.
Spectators can visit www.route66marathon.com to view the Ustream footage on race day. The finish line camera will show all finishers in each of the Williams Route 66 races, including the marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 5K and fun run. The second camera will feature marathon expert, Jeff Kidder.Kidder will cover various aspects of the courses and interview participants, volunteers and entertainment acts.
“My goal is to capture the essence of the event,” Kidder said. “I want to have a lot of fun with it and show everyone, though interviews with marathoners, spectators and volunteers, why you should come to Tulsa to run a marathon.”
Each camera will stream live from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ustream offers mobile apps for viewing on the go. Supported devices include the Apple iPhone, the Android and the Windows Phone 7. More information about the apps can be found here. The Ustream channels are presented by Tulsa’s Video Revolution.
